The SYSTEM7 Tamping Head Attachment (THA 8-4.0)

Developed to close the capability gap between dedicated tamping machines and small excavator tamping attachments, SYSTEM7‘s Tamping Head Attachment delivers all the technical benefits of hydraulic tamping.

Presently the tamping attachments available on the market are non-automated and do not possess the technical capabilities of SYSTEM7‘s hydraulic tamping system. SYSTEM7‘s Tamping Head Attachment fits on a wide range of excavators and is instantly gauge adjustable.

PATENTED TECHNOLOGY ONLY OFFERED BY SYSTEM7

Unlike ALL other tampers in the market, only SYSTEM7 measures and records the actual compression of each tamping cycle during the tamping process. GPS is provided to track the location and activities of the tamping unit which will provide a detailed report showing work completed as well as compaction data achieved;

The hydraulic driven THA oscillates at a frequency of 35 Hz and amplitude of 2.5 mm while in use, otherwise the unit remains at rest.

The SYSTEM7 Universal Tamper 4.0

The Universal Tamper 4.0 is a high output, single tie, production tamping machine designed for efficient tamping of mainline tracks and switches. Highlights of the innovative Tamper are: automatic lifting and lining track adjustment, digitized cord measuring before and after each tamping cycle, reduced operating costs, simple operation, fully automatic guidance of the machine without additional input of corrective parameters by the operator and constant condition monitoring of the tamping banks. The SYSTEM7 Universal Tamper 4.0 incorporates an advanced version of the patented tamping management technology to ensure consistent and continuous ballast consolidation.

PATENTED TECHNOLOGY ONLY OFFERED BY SYSTEM7

Measuring of the compression and reporting in a shift report to confirm correct compaction was achieved;

GPS is provided to track the location and activities of the tamping unit which will provide a detailed report showing work completed as well as compaction data achieved;

Derivation of the OPTIMUM level of hardness of the ballast bed;

Quick adaption to the condition of the ballast bed, which is automatically adjusted during penetration;

Optimal compaction from sleeper to sleeper – pressure driven compaction prevents gravel flow towards the edges.
